On this Thanksgiving, I Think I'll Have an Extra Helping of that Delicious Irony, Please...

When faced with the sheer magnitude of our failure in Iraq, words fail. Iraqi forces have found chemical weapons an insurgent base in Falluja.

OK, kids, let's follow the bouncing ball. We sent US troops to Iraq get rid of chemical weapons and terrorists. But there were no terrorists or chemical weapons in Iraq. Now, after two years of US control, there are chemical weapons and terrorists in Iraq. They were brought in to fight the US troops whom we sent to Iraq to get rid of chemical weapons and terrorists . . .

Just think, 51% of American people believe this sort of gross mismanagement and miscalculation is clear, resolute leadership that makes us all safer.

Unfuckingbelievable.

Life is funny sometimes . . .

I don't know if this report is true, but if it is, you have to appreciate the irony. I wonder if they'll be helping out in Afghanistan, too:

Well, Rove pulled it off, and made us worse in the process.

Exit polling shows that the priamry concern for voters were "moral values." How such concerns could propell one of the most corrupt, intolerant and just plain vicious administrations back into power is beyond me. Then again, maybe I just don't understand American "moral values."

I need a drink . . .
